Dear Rosethorn Tennis Club Members:
We wanted to provide you with an update following the province’s recent announcement to reopen Ontario tennis courts beginning Tuesday, May 19th. Your Executive has met virtually to plan the reopening of Rosethorn and how we can expect the season to unfold. Please know that our priority is to get our members back on the courts as safely and expeditiously as possible, but there are certain steps that must be taken before this can occur.
We are awaiting further communication from the City of Toronto, as they need to issue a revised start date to our court permit and remove their lock from the Rosethorn court entrance. Court preparation remains on hold until we have a valid permit and court access. We will also be adhering to safety guidelines as set out by City of Toronto public health officials in conjunction with Tennis Canada, and will communicate these guidelines to you as soon as they become available.
As you can imagine, our tennis season at Rosethorn will look quite different this year as we work together to keep each other safe and healthy. Please keep an eye out for further updates. We look forward to seeing all of you back on the courts soon!
